Popular singer Jonita Gandhi, who is currently wooing listeners with her song ‘Hey Amigo’ in the film ‘Kaappaan’, has released her new single, ‘Humraahi’.
In the song penned by Geet Sagar, Arjuna Harjai has not only composed music but has also starred and co-sung with Jonita.
On working with Arjuna in the song, in an interaction with IANS, Jonita said: “It’s been a few years since Arjuna and I have been wanting to collaborate on an independent song and I’m really happy that we were able to do that with ‘Humraahi’!”
Claiming the song to be very special, the ‘Dream Girl’ singer said, “We’ve explored a different space with this song. It’s not a typical love song or party song. It’s a feel-good song about being happy on the journey through life, with the support of a friend along the way. The song is very special to us and I hope everyone has a good take away feel when they hear it. The video is fun and unique, with a lot of imagination to be used.”
Jonita, on her YouTube, had stated that the song is about a journey of self discovery. She said, “Sometimes life throws us lemons, but that’s okay because who doesn’t love lemonade? A little bit of imagination and some good vibes can make for the best memories! Humraahi is a fun song about a journey of self-discovery, letting go and shooting for the stars – all with the support of one of your best buds.”
She is currently riding high on success with her recent tracks from ‘Dream Girl’ and ‘Kaappaan’ hitting the bulls eye.
